We are pleased to announce the winners of our 2019 WMO Calendar Photo Competition! A big CONGRATULATIONS to our photographers and a special THANK YOU to everyone who submitted and participated in the contest, as well as YOU, our friends, for helping our judging panel—made up of meteorological experts and professional photographers. This year, WMO was overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of photographs submitted to the competition. With nearly 1000 amazing submissions from around the world, the selection of 13 photos for the printed calendar was a very difficult decision. Our judging panel had to consider many factors including technical quality, geographical balance and relevance to the theme, The Sun, the Earth, the Weather. However, the many other photographs we received will be showcased on WMO social media channels, the website, in outreach activities and in displays at WMO's headquarters in Geneva. We will obviously credit the individual photographer in each case. Once again, a BIG THANK YOU!
